How do I make a booking?

Firstly, select the entertainment youтАЩre interested in and either submit an online enquiry or give us a call. WeтАЩll discuss your requirements and get a confirmed quote directly from the artist. Once youтАЩre 100% happy that the artist is right for you, weтАЩll issue a booking contract to you and the artist. You then pay a small deposit which can be made by cheque, BACS or Paypal.

In most cases, the remaining balance is payable directly to the artist on the day of the event. You can make payment in advance to Musicon if you prefer and we hold your payment for security in our тАШclientтАЩ account, releasing payment to the artist only after the event.

Are you insured?

All our managed acts carry Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and, where applicable, have their equipment PAT test certified. Clients, bookers, agents, should stipulate where PLI is a necessity for any engagement.

We advise and recommend any outside artistes that it is their responsibility to arrange and keep current, suitable Public Liability insurance & provide PAT test certs, where applicable. We recommend that PLI cover should be in the sum of not less than ┬г5,000,000.

Do You Provide you own Sound Equipment?

YES!

All bands provide suitable PAT tested high quality PA and lighting System. In our experience LIVE bands prefer to work with their own equipment unless production is supplied and only by a reputable, experienced sound production services eg) corporates and festivals. Should you wish our bands to provide their own equipment for outdoor events please let us know in advance as in some cases a larger higher quality sound system will have to be sourced and a surcharge may occur. Please note – for outdoor events suitable stage coverage must be provided to protect musical equipment and artist from outside elements.

Some of our Solo Tributes/Acts are frequently booked for shorter appearances and therefore prefer to work as a ‘Walk in’ booking which would mean the client providing a high quality sound system/production. In this instance a Artist/band Technical Rider will be forwarded to you no less than 2 weeks before the event and contact number for Sound engineers must be forward from the client to Musicon Entertainment so that contact can be made between them and the artist. This ensures that the best possible sound will be managed and created for your event and avoid unnecessary ┬аhiccups to the sound quality on the day.

Can I see the artist live before booking?

Our managed acts on┬аoccasion may be performing a public show, so in theory yes it is possible however, itтАЩs impossible to guarantee that by the time the show takes place, that the artist will still be available for the date of your event. The best artists get booked very quickly so if you find one that you like, you are much safer basing your decision to hire on the strength of their demos, play list, biography and references from other customers.

We also work with bands and artists specialising in performances at private functions. By the nature of the fact that they are private, we cannot obtain access on your behalf. Bands who regularly play at pubs are probably not the type youтАЩd hire for an important private party as pubs donтАЩt pay the money required for top quality acts.

Contact us for our personal recommendation and we can forward you video which enables you to get a good flavour of their performance style.

Can I speak to or meet the artist?

The advantage of booking you entertainment with us is that we are also performers with our managed acts. Giving you immediate one to one contact with the act, saving on lengthy wait to have you enquiry fulfilled. We are contactable through our online booking form, email, Telephone and facebook between 9-5 every day of the week. Your email will be responded to within 24hrs. Once youтАЩve booked, the act will contact you in the 3 weeks leading up to your event to discuss the finer details, ensure your requirements havenтАЩt changed and finalise song preferences etc. We are also happy to have a free personal consultation at your earliest convenience to discuss your event.

If we have supplied you with entertainment outside of Musicon Entertainment, we will act on the artistтАЩs behalf until contracts have been exchanged. This helps to ensure everything is properly noted on your enquiry/contract and not forgotten!

Most artists will not make site visits as they are not necessary and they do not charge enough money to be able to afford to give up a day to do so. If we are unaware of your venue then deetails should be giving of venue capacity and stage size so that we may provide you with the best suited act for your event. If there is an extraordinary circumstance which demands a site visit, it can be arranged and a fee would more than likely be charged to cover time and travel.

How long does the band/artist take to set up and how much space will they need?

Set up time is dependant of the band/act and how much equipment they have. If the band has good access to your venue (EG: no lifts or stairs, no more than 100ft to wheel their equipment) they should be able to load in, set up and sound check within around 90 minutes. Small bands can do this in 60 minutes, ┬аand some solo performers even shorter again. It is important that we have all information regarding venue get in times and door opening times for our acts to plan ahead. ** If your event is running late or youтАЩve arranged for the band to set up after speeches, they will still need the same amount of time to set up. This allocated set up and sound check time is VITAL for the band to properly connect their equipment and get a good sound. It is also important to note that we are aware of your health and safety at all times therefore it would not be advisable to allow your wedding guests or party to enter the main function room until the band are sound checked and have safely removed all their equipment.

The ideal performing space is to allow an absolute minimum of 1 meter across per person, but ideally 1.5 meters across per person. Allow 2 square meters for a drummer.

How can I make a payment

Payment can be made to either by cheque, BACS, Paypal or remaining balance cash on the day to the acts band manager. If cash is not the preferred method of payment then the remaining balance must be paid a min of 14 days and no less than 7 days before the date of the performance.

A full deposit is required to secure the date of your event with the act in mind. Your date will only be confirmed once you have sent this along with your booking form.

How do I amend a booking?

Simply speak to Karen and she will arrange any changes to your booking. In some circumstances, EG: requesting the artist perform for longer then originally booked,┬аarrive earlier, or with short notice learn new material, additional costs may be incurred.

Any amendments are reflected on your contract, we will re-issuing it (we donтАЩt charge a fee for this). Do not agree to any amendments with the artist/band directly otherwise we cannot guarantee your changes will not be covered by your old contract and there is a possibility amendments will be forgotten.
